My son’s laugh anchors
me to this world. The tune
regenerates my tolerance with living.
His laugh morphs death into
the grotesque — the glow of the unbeautiful.
I glide around my unfurnished place,
waltzing with WiFi, until we can see
each other, thousands of miles from touch,
but these modern windows showcase
his smile — the soliloquy of joy
I worship in its entirety, front row
in this Shakespearean play.
fading thunder
ovations of snow
nomad wings on statue
waves cool rivers
drought whispers
drums west– we laugh
capture the whiplash
sleigh the moon way
hurry the leaf is leaving
sounds hold on heavy
thoughts are kite–hurricane with goggles
atom ripples
