Alphan Yýlmazmaden is a Turkish street photograper, capturing the beauty he sees regularly.
Many of Alphan’s photos portray unsuspecting instances and moments–a couple sneaking a kiss through a porthole window, a girl surprising a flock of pigeons–that he captures roaming the city looking for magic. In those cases when the subject catches the camera’s eye, we are given the privilege to, just for one moment, see through the mind of Alphan and the mind of his subjects and see a world of feeling erupt into being at the intersection.
One gets the feeling as Alphan moves throughout his environment he is pushed by an urge to document his life, document his surroundings, documents his country–the photographs rise up like a yell at an attempt to hold firm onto the flickering moments of stablity before they change at the next sunset.
