Littlest Downpour by Stephanie Couey

i remember the smell

of a college boy metallic

faucet drips the boy shallow

as an epithet onto my stretched

and pointed tongue

limber little acrobat tongue

i lick the down pour

a kitten held wet

by nape and i trust

the boy to pour

peroxide into the cavities

on either side of my head
