Unshod Quills is a quarterly literary and arts journal born to showcase the efforts of writers and artists huddled together against the lonely effort of creation. All contributions to Unshod Quills are based on topics assigned by the editors, and the art and writing on the website are connected by those themes.

Unshod Quills was founded by editor Dena Rash Guzman, a Las Vegas born poet who now lives on a farm near Portland, Oregon.
Dena Rash Guzman has a coeditor. She is Wendy Ellis, an artist & sometime writer living with her family in south central PA.
- Proofreading provided by Donald Rilea. Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in 1964, Donald’s a high-functioning autistic short-story writer and photographer who lives in Las Vegas, Nevada, with his cat Amigo.
Arts Editor Holly Hinkle is an artist, poet, and book arts enthusiast. She lives in Portland, OR.
Consulting Editor Brian Tibbetts is a writer, musician, print-maker and painter currently living and working in Portland, Oregon.
Prose Editor Samuel Snoek-Brown writes and teaches in Portland, Oregon. He is a recipient of an Oregon Literary Award.
